The Explorer's Journal

DESCRIPTION
This gorgeous handmade Italian leather journal is soft yet incredibly
durable. The outer edge is an elegant ‘V’ shaped envelope design. It
has a slot to pull the extra long strap closure through so it will stay
tightly shut. This journal is complete with a sewn-in ribbon bookmark in
a color to compliment your chosen leather. Note: Because leather
thickness varies, 11o lb. card stock is used to strengthen the journal
sides and give it lovely structure.

PAPER
Each size journal contains 200 hand torn pages (back/front). The
paper is a hearty 67 lb. ivory colored vellum (What is vellum?) card stock
that gives the journal a wonderful thickness. Due to its hand torn
nature, paper may be slightly uneven and jagged, causing a wonderfully
rustic and aged look.

- Unlined paper (lined paper available for $5)

BINDING/SHAPING METHOD
This journal is hand bound with heavyweight embroidery thread in ivory
to compliment the color of the paper. All our leather pieces are treated
with the utmost care and shaped and cut by hand.
